Three Types Of Blushes

One of the many cosmetics women use is the blush also known as the blush on. Women may or may not use this, but for those who have rather pale skin this makeup is more than a must have.

A blush is used to add color and make the face look fresher, more alive. Since the blush is usually applied on the cheekbones, one of its effect is to add emphasis to the cheekbones. Blush comes in different colors and consistency and it even comes in different forms.

1. Powder blushes. This is the most common form of blush. Most women prefer to use this type of blush because it is easier to use as compared to other forms. The powder blush also come in other forms; it can be in the compact form wherein you will have to use a brush or in the loose powder form.

To apply a powder blush you will need a blush brush especially if you are using the compact powder form. All you have to do is glide the brush across the blush to gather enough powder and then in front of the mirror smile and apply the blush starting from the apples of your cheeks up. You can reapply several times until you have reached the color or tone you desire. Then do not forget to blend the edges.

2. Liquid or gel blushes. This is another form of blush but unlike the powder form this is much harder to apply. So if you are not experienced in using liquid or gel blushes then you might as well not risk it. This type of blush usually comes in a tube and looks like a lip gloss.

When applying this type of blush, you can say good bye to blush brushes because all you need are your fingers. When applying this type of blush, you have to blend it as fast as you can because once it dries it would be a little harder to blend. In cases where the end results look unnatural you can use a little dab of lotion so you can blend it some more.

3. Cream blushes. This is the third type of blush. If you prefer to use this type, you have two ways to apply it; one is using your fingertips and the second is the makeup sponge. This type of blush has a smooth finish and goes very well with foundations and concealers.

To use this, first you pick a small amount of cream which is a little bit bigger than a dot. You then apply half of it to the cheek and just like applying a powder blush, you smile and start blending. To blend a cream blush on you will have to make circular motions while sweeping it on your cheek. You can also use the makeup sponge instead of your fingers. Continue blending until it looks natural as possible.

You should be careful when applying blushes because too much blush doesn't look good at all. Choose the color that matches your skin because this has a higher chance of looking more natural after you apply it on your face.
