Ten Makeup Playgrounds To Explore

“Your body is a wonderland,” goes a line from John Mayer's song. Simply put, the face is not the sole area that you can apply makeup on. There are other body parts that will look better with makeup too. Try exploring them on your next primping session, but first check out the list to know where these ten makeup playgrounds are.

1. FACE. You probably got this right on the first guess. Go on; pamper your face with a wide array of products: cleansers, sun block, moisturizers, foundation and pressed powder. Your aim is to make it as clean and as flawless as possible.

2. EYEBROW. Choose among shaving, plucking, tattooing and drawing to come up with the eyebrows of your dreams. Since you're dealing with a small amount of hair on this body part, try finishing the job with a small amount of gel to keep your eyebrows in place.

3. EYES. Eye shadow, eye pencil, eye liners – these are just some of the conventional cosmetics that you can use to enhance the windows of your soul, but don't limit yourself to these. Really, there are a number of ways you can further enhance your eyes:

o Try wearing contact lenses that match the shade of your dress. Eye color is something that a lot of people take for granted. Make yours stand out.

o Don't forget about your eye lashes. Give them a perm using eyelash curlers. If your lashes are too short, get some extenders. Apply mascara for a neater, thicker and more noticeable finish.

o Play with your eyelids. For a shallow look, put on very light and glittery eye shadow. For a deep-set look, use darker colors. Draw lines at the outer ends to create a cute, chinky look.

o Do not broadcast your stress level. Use a concealer to take care of dark circles. Apply cucumber and cold compress to shrink your eye bags.

4. NOSE. To lengthen its look, apply a line of glitter on the bridge. To shorten its look, eliminate shine using face powder and foundation.

5. CHEEKS. Aim for the most natural-looking blush. Use either your cheek bones or your cheek apples as a guide for applying the blush-on.

6. LIPS. Color them with lipstick. Keep them moisturized with lip gloss. Keep them slidy and smooth with lip shiner.

7. NECK. Make sure your neck color matches your face color. For best results, smother this area with foundation as well.

8. BUST. You can make this appear either smaller or bigger especially when you're wearing plunging necklines. Eliminate shine and cover the exposed area with foundation to downplay bust size. Draw a false cleavage to enhance the size.

9. UNDERARMS. Don't embarrass yourself with unsightly underarms. Cover up discoloration with hypo-allergic creams and underarm-specific smoothing foundation.

10. LEGS. When you're not wearing stockings and panty hoses, always aim for a clean and even look. Conceal chicken skin and blotches by spraying leg makeup or foundation.

This list of makeup playgrounds ensures that you're indeed made up from top to toe.
