Four Cosmetic Items For You And Your Man
Being a metrosexual is not the only excuse for men to seek the aid of cosmetics. Believe it or not, men, like women, use cosmetics on a daily basis too. Are you still not convinced? Well, wipe out that doubting Thomas look on your face. Go over the following list and check out the most basic cosmetic items that both you and your man rely on.
• DEODORANT. Unless both of you want to scour town like skunks and leave a trail of nasty odor, you definitely need and use deodorants. In fact, both of you probably started using one as early as you hit puberty. Old varieties typically just took care of your odor, but modern varieties already combine deodorizing and anti-perspiring features. Most deodorants are also scented so that both of you smell even sexier when you begin sweating (imagine yourself smelling like jasmine and your man like old spice). Deodorants come in stick, roll-on, powder and spray types.
• FRAGRANCE. As if applying deodorant is not enough, you and your man simply just want to smell better to max out those sex appeal points. Depending on your budget, type of activity and desired appeal, you choose your favorite scent between colognes and perfumes. If you're looking for a cheaper means to smelling good, use colognes. Feel free to spray them or splash them onto your neck, but keep a bottle with you as the scent needs retouching after a few hours. If you're aiming to exude sophistication, wear perfumes. You only need to dab or a very small amount on your neck and wrists to smell good the whole day, so a small bottle actually goes a long way and requires no retouching.
• GEL. Fight the wind and still look stunning in your tresses. You want to use gel to keep your hairdo in place (spray nets have long gone out of fashion anyway) and your man needs the gel to preserve his hair look the whole day too. Although you are not as obsessed about hair, your man will most likely associate his with machismo. If there are two things that make him feel better and manlier, it's his wallet and his hair. (For the latter, he'll thank God there's gel.)
• LIP BALM. What ever gave you the idea that only you, the woman, use lip balm? Men do not have thicker and sturdier lip skin than women, so no, they don't have any excuse not to wear lip balm, especially on cold and dry weathers that leave their kissing tool cracked and dry. Lip balms moisturize and protect the lips from chaffing. Unless you and your man want to flash bloody grins, you don't want to leave out this cosmetic especially during winter. You may savor the flavored and slightly colored variety, but your man will most likely opt for the transparent menthol.
What more do you both have in common? Compare closets and you'll be amazed how equally vain both of you can really be.
