Five Types Of Jean Cuts

Jeans and t-shirts have been around for years. But during the early 20th century only men are allowed to wear pants or jeans. But eventually the seemingly rigid rule has changed. Now we don't only see men wearing the oh-so trusty jeans but women as well. We all know that women have different body types and that is why jeans have various cuts and styles too to fit women.

1. Flared Jeans. Jeans with this type of cut have become the hottest trend. It doesn't only look good on teenagers but also for middle-aged adults as well. What's great with this cut is it looks good on almost every body type.

This type of jeans flares or is wider at the bottom; a lot wider than boot cut jeans. The flaring at the leg part takes attention away from the hips and thighs. It is also best worn with loose fitting tops and flat baby doll shoes. If you want to go casual, then this cut is for you. The flared jeans are less formal looking compared to boot cut jeans.

2. Skinny Jeans. This style has been following the footsteps of the flared jeans. Recently, a lot of women have been wearing this style of jeans but unlike the flared jeans that seem to fit on most women the skinny jeans are ideal for women who have skinny legs. This type of jeans hugs the leg from the hips down to the ankle. The skinny jeans go well with almost everything from t-shirts to trendy tops, from sneakers to pointy baby doll shoes. It even looks good when paired with high heels.

3. Cropped Jeans. Also known as Capri jeans, this type of jeans usually ends up right below the knee or midway to the ankle. This type is very versatile; you can either dress it up or dress it down. You can pair these jeans with a blouse and high heels or you can pair it with t-shirts and sneakers. Either way, the cropped jeans work well. This type is ideal for almost all body types as well. Cropped jeans are ideal for informal gatherings like a day at the mall or a stroll at the beach.

4. Straight Cut Jeans. This type of jeans has the same measurement from the waist line down to the bottom; a striking difference from flared and skinny jeans. Both tall and short people can wear this type of jeans but there's a catch though as this type must not be worn tight. People with athletic body types will surely look good in this jean type. Dark denims look great for straight cut jeans.

5. Boot Cut Jeans. This type looks more or less the same with the flared jeans but the flaring at the end part is not as wide as the flared jeans. This type is also suitable for most body types and it is versatile. You can pair this with almost anything inside your closet. A testament to these jeans' versatility is the fact that you can wear this to both formal and informal events.

Some jeans are made to fit a particular body type but there are also jeans manufactured to fit most body types. So if you have doubt, might as well buy jeans that are made to look good on almost everybody.
